We are honored to have been nominated to be the March 2023 Vendor of the Month at Farm Hippie!…and how fitting, too. The first year anniversary of our business will be on March 25th.
Okie Doggie Gourmet Treats and Wellness from New Leaf Farms would love to nominate Heirloom Acres for April 2023.
What do you love most about what you get to do with your business?
Our favorite part of Okie Doggie is meeting our customers and their dogs. We love seeing their reaction. Working in the farmers’ markets and with Farm Hippie are perfect opportunities to connect with our community.
What do you find to be the most rewarding part of working with the local community?
We offer clean ingredients in our treat recipes. We love knowing that our product is safe for dogs and that our standards are set high to protect the health of our four-legged friends.
Tell us a little more about your business:
Okie Doggie Gourmet Treats and Wellness was born out of Passion and Love…. Love for our Furry Family Members and have a passion to create products to help them live long and healthy lives. What started as a Women Owned, Family Run, All Natural Micro Farm in Tulsa known as New Leaf Farms quickly grew a tail, and Okie Doggie was born. While things on the Farm continue to grow and flourish outside, in the kitchen our master baker is hard at work, developing and delivering treats and wellness products your pets are sure to love. All of our products are small batches, all-natural, using whole ingredients without any harmful by-products. Each product is designed with a specific health-focused purpose, and every product starts with the purest ingredient known to man, Love. We pride ourselves in offering wholesome high quality foods for our furry friends, going above and beyond the regular pet food “standards”.
Our Spring Plant starts will hit the market stands this April 1st. We offer Heirloom varieties grown using organic gardening methods. Our seeds are from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. Offering types include leafy greens, herbs, peppers, tomatoes, peas, cucumbers, okra, melons, and gourds…along with a wide range of pollinator companion plants to help naturally repel harmful pests from your vegetable garden.
Our company has collaborated with The Humane Society of Tulsa and Food on The Move. We strive to continue to give back to our local community in any way possible. For us, this is what it’s all about…connecting with others, helping in any way we can, and our community begins to feel more like family and then we ALL can thrive.
