This month we are celebrating one of our dearest vendors AND fellow beekeepers! This month’s vendor of the month award goes to Ide’s Gary Ave Gold! Congratulations, Cheryl and Jay Ide! Come read a bit more about the Ides and what they’re doing within the community:
“We started working with bees in the spring of 2013. Jay was moving closer to retirement and wanted to try keeping bees. He does the physical maintenance of the beehives while Cheryl bottles honey and makes products using the leftover wax. We don’t buy honey from anyone else. All our honey is from our hives located within 20 miles of Tulsa. It’s been fun to meet so many people while working with bees and selling honey.
We enjoy the work (except when it’s 100 degrees), whether it’s catching bee swarms, working with owners of our bee yard properties, or working with our customers. Jay is often greeted with ‘Hey, bee guy!’
